Speech Contest : How To Stop Rabies In Epidemic

In 2011, there was a shocking news on even embarrassing this that was caused by dogs. Before i start, I’d like to begin by asking you to think about the existance of dogs in Bali, if they should be killed due to the case of rabies. I know this is not the way to solve this problem.
Good morning to the teacher from all high school in Bali, all the audiance, and everyone here. Now, I’m Ranny Susanti from SMA N 1 Tabanan. Today, I’m going to deliver you a speech about how to stop rabies in epidemic.
       Ladies and gentleman..
The WHO said that about 55,000 deaths per year worldwide are due to rabies and the majority of these deaths occur in children. So, Bali was taking serious of this problem. In the meaning, rabies is a desease is caused by a virus that affects the nervous system and, unless treated quickly and appropriately, usually results in death. Rabies symptoms and signs occur after exposure and may consist of some or many of the following: odd behaviors, delirium, combativeness, loss of muscle function and so on. So, if you was caught by an animal, we should be perceptive and quick to avoid that. Don’t be late to avoid, if you feel like the symptoms that i was said to you all here.
Now, there was a question, well we must perceptive, but what should we do if the symptoms are happen to us? okay, today I’m going to offer you three strategies for making the impossible possible. First, if you are caught by the rabies animal, you should clean or wash the biten in flow water . It will be made reduce the fatal condition. Second, go to the nearest hospital or clinic. Beacuse, you will get more maximal treatment. Third,  As of 2010, the CDC recommends additional doses (injections) of rabies vaccine on the third, seventh, and 14th day after exposure. Or For people previously vaccinated against rabies, only two doses of the vaccine are recommended; one as soon as possible after the exposure and one more three days later.
Okay, we know, not just the people, but the governman should be participate to avoid this serious problem. And, Bali was doing the right thing. The proof is Bali was received award from WHO and FAO. This was the first in the world, rabies can be reduced significantly in a relatively short time.
         Ladies and gentleman..
So the conclusion is like the proverb said, “One scabbed sheep is enough to spoil a flock”. It’s means, If we don’t care with a little bad thing, it will make more big broken thing. If we don’t do an initiative of rabies from now, maybe our island name is embarrassing and never we got the awarding.
